Our Bacherlhaus is only a 10-minute walk from the shores of Lake Traunsee, where you can find 3 public bathing spots in the village. There are plenty of hiking trails to discover in the surrounding area and numerous mountains for winter sports.
From the A1 West-Autobahn take the exit at Regau, then continue in the direction of Bad Ischl. Before the tunnel, turn left in the direction of “Zentrum Traunkirchen”. Then take the first entrance on the right “Koglstraße” through the forest path. After the forest, take the first exit “Winkl” left steeply down, follow the road and over the steep curve, past the organic farm and the sheep right up. You have already reached your destination.
Tip: Always follow the signs “Bacherlhaus”, then at the sheepfold just turn right up the steep curve and you’re there.
From the train station “Traunkirchen” (NOT Traunkirchen Ort) it is about 25 minute walk. Turn left along the street “Mitterndorf”, then turn right onto the main street “Uferstraße”, after the entrance of the tunnel turn right onto “Koglstraße”, follow through the forest. At the end of the forest turn left onto “Winkl” down the road, then up the steep curve past the organic farm on the right. You have already reached your destination.
